An easier day today ahead of the assessments starting tomorrow. Thunderstorms last night but clear again today. More updates to come soon!
Last day walking today to Immenhausen over the mountains. Managed to get most of the walking over early to finish the walking and yo get the logs done in time for check in for 4pm. Time to relax a little now and get the weight off the feet!
Our last long day ended on a nice note with a paddle down the river in a wooden canoe. Camping out tonight and about 15km to go to Immenhausen tomorrow!
Arrived in Witzenhausen tonight, the town of the cherries, to some great food and hospitality from some more scouts there. Was very hot today and toughest walking so far. On to Hann Mukden tomorrow and let’s hope the feet can hold up!
Hot day today to Heilbad Heiligenstadt and staying with another scout organisation tonight in their local place! On to Witzwnhausen tomorrow with an early start to avoid the sun as much as possible!
Great night spent in Duderstadt tonight! Inside with food and showers thanks to some lovely people that we met. Weathers forecast to get hotter so not looking too forward the that. Heading for Helilbad Heiligenstadt tomorrow!

Today we began the our journey through the Harz mountains walking from Wernigerode to Braunlage. Weather is certainly getting hotter and the walking today was uphill for quite some time!
After a wet start, we continued for Blankenburg and then went to Wernigerode to stay with a German BDP scout. We had a good night chatting about German student life and scouting over here. A warm shower and a bed was most welcome too!
